SpineFine required a bespoke reception desk that would serve as a striking focal point while maintaining a professional, clinical ambience. Working within a compact reception footprint, we prioritised staff workflow to ensure the desk was both highly functional and ergonomically efficient. The resulting design features a solid surface worktop complemented by stained solid oak slats to the front, delivering a premium tactile finish and visual contrast that elevates the space. Integrated LED lighting accentuates the desk’s form and adds a contemporary edge, creating an inviting yet clinical-first impression that balances aesthetic impact with practical performance.

Additionally we developed a bespoke under-stair storage solution that conceals equipment while honouring the lobby’s traditional character. The design incorporates solid mouldings to mirror the existing joinery, push-to-open doors for a seamless appearance, and a hard-wearing interior finish to withstand daily use. Practicality was paramount — internal shelving and access were configured for efficient equipment storage — yet every detail was chosen to ensure the new installation sits harmoniously within the established period aesthetic.
